The Menil Collection is a museum in Houston, Texas, located on a 30-acre campus at 1533 Sul Ross Street in central Houston. It traces its origins to the Menil Foundation, established in 1954 by philanthropists John and Dominique de Menil to foster public understanding and appreciation of art, architecture, culture, religion, and philosophy; the main building opened to the public in 1987.
