Our mission is “to increase a level of awareness, support, and enable access to a range of specialized therapies focused on improving overall quality of life for those living with this paralysis.” About Us: On May 28th of 2005 Michael-Ryan Pattison broke his neck diving into Lake Chelan. This accident left him a quadriplegic with little movement below his shoulders. With drive and determination The Michael-Ryan Pattison Foundation was established in 2006 to help others struggling with paralysis and spinal cord injuries. Michael-Ryan serves as President of the Foundation. The Foundation has organized several fundraising events including auctions and golf tournaments organized with the help of his family and caring friends including the Seattle Seahawks. Since its humble beginnings, The Michael-Ryan Pattison Foundation has raised over $1.3 million. Funds raised have been used to purchase specialized equipment as well as grants awarded to provide specialized exercise therapy & ongoing advancement for this paralysis. The Foundation’s ultimate goal is to establish a world renowned, state-of-the-art, specialized restorative therapy center in the Seattle area where those with spinal cord injuries have access to the best therapies – specialized equipment, exercise techniques and palliative treatment – designed and administered by leading spinal cord injury specialists and physicians.
