The Motor Bookstore -- an independent bookseller -- sells repair manuals and service manuals for all kinds of vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, SUVs, minivans, outboard motors, ATVs, snowmobiles, and more.

The company was started in 1994 as a supplement to Motorcycle Shopper magazine, a buy-sell-trade monthly which launched a modest website in 1995 as MotorcycleShopper.com.

The company founder saw the potential the internet would have for the sale of products early on, and by 1997 MotorcycleBooks.com was launched as a stand-alone ecommerce site. Fueled by a steady growth and customers request for additional repair manuals, the company changed its name to The Motor Bookstore, www.themotorbookstore.com in 2002 as it added repair manuals for all kinds of vehicles.

We're authorized distributors for Clymer, Chilton, Haynes, Bentley, Seloc, I&T Manuals, and other publishers of do-it-yourself automotive repair and service manuals.
