The Nachshon Project operates as a selective program within professional training and coaching, offering opportunities for exceptional North American Jewish undergraduates to engage with Jewish life and career paths in the community. Its aim is to educate and inspire the next generation of leaders by presenting a range of leadership models and scholarly perspectives, along with meaningful encounters not found elsewhere. Each year, up to 40 fellows are chosen to spend the spring semester of their junior year on a full-tuition scholarship at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The program is designed to cultivate a diverse cohort from different backgrounds, with the goal of forming a lifelong, cross-denominational network of scholars, educators, and leaders. Based in New York City, New York, The Nachshon Project operates with a small to mid-sized team focused on leadership development and experiential education within the Jewish community. A noted development in the program's activity is a partnership with Maryland Hillel to support a study-abroad-related event celebrating Rosh Chodesh.
