The Noel Pointer Foundation is a not-for-profit organization focused on string music education for underserved communities in New York City. Founded in 1995 by Chinita Pointer, widow of the late jazz violinist Noel Pointer, it expanded from a program for 18 students at Public School 44 to a network serving 28 NYC public schools. Its programs include after-school strings instruction, a summer string program, a Saturday Strings initiative, and private instruction at its Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn headquarters, with the NPF Youth Orchestra forming in 2008 to provide performance opportunities.

Based in Brooklyn, the foundation works with inner-city youth and other underserved students, combining professional training, performance experience, and college placement assistance to support both cultural and academic development. It functions as a provider of string-focused music education within New York City's public school system.
