The Ocean Race is an international sailing competition that tests a team's endurance on a round-the-world course. Since 1973, the event has placed competition at its core while making sustainability a central consideration, with the Southern Ocean providing a demanding arena for the action. Over successive editions, the race has combined evolving technology with a relentless, high-stakes challenge, ultimately awarding the Ocean Race trophy to the champions.

Based in Alicante, in the Valencian Community of Spain, The Ocean Race operates as a mid-sized organization within the spectator sports sector. Its events target audiences and partners who follow high-profile sailing competitions and expect rigorous preparation and presentation around the race. A forthcoming edition, The Ocean Race Europe, includes Leg 1 scheduled to depart Kiel, Germany on 10 August 2025.
