Purpose

The Photography Center of the Capital District LLC offers to those interested in the photographic arts opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in all aspects of photographic activity. The PhotoCenter is a membership-supported facility offering almost everything photographic under one roof:

The PhotoCenter Gallery exhibiting of variety of imagery including; contemporary images, theme exhibitions, member’s work, regional and international photographers
The PhotoCenter Library dedicated to art and photography, which is a reading/research floor with over eight thousand books and collections of periodicals past and current;
The Photography Center of the Capital District Museum; with displays of historical cameras and images dating back more than 100 years;
The PhotoCenter store selling gently used photographic equipment including; cameras, printers, lenses, flashes, accessories and books, Distributing inkAIDTM  pre-coating, for dynamic digital prints;
A shooting studio; equip with backgrounds, and lighting equipment 
Computer workstations with a variety of peripherals and photographic software;
equipment for do-it-yourself photographing, editing, printing, scanning, mounting, matting, exhibition assembling and more!
Monthly activity schedule with featured PhotoCenter nights, workshops and private tutorials covering the spectrum of photography; and
Annual member exhibition and publication opportunities
