The Plaza Hotel is a historic property in Kamloops, British Columbia, operating within the hospitality industry. Construction of the building took place from 1926 to 1928, and it was conceived in a Spanish-American architectural style; it was originally known as Kamloops Community Hotel, developed by a group of local businessmen. The official opening featured a banquet and rooftop dancing, with attendance from prominent local citizens and representatives of the Canadian National Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway. After an extensive six-month renovation, the hotel reopened in the summer of 2012 with refreshed guestrooms, public areas, and updated amenities. In 2019, Katara Hospitality acquired The Plaza Hotel. The property continues to serve guests in Kamloops as a mid-sized hotel that preserves its historic character while offering contemporary comforts.
