Based in Towson, Maryland, The Resource Group Counseling and Educational Center operates two distinct entities: The Resource Group, a psychotherapy practice, and Resource Connect, a substance abuse treatment facility located in Lutherville. With more than three decades of activity in Baltimore County and surrounding areas, the organization provides care in a welcoming environment and relies on evidence-informed therapeutic approaches designed to improve clients' quality of life. Its services serve a diverse client base and address a wide range of mental health conditions. Its team has expanded to include psychiatrists, clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, addiction medicine specialists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, enabling integrated care across mental health and addiction treatment. Resource Connect, opened in 2013, offers five levels of care for early recovery—ambulatory detox, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and early intervention—each linked to housing, medical, and psychiatric resources in the area. The expansion and ongoing development of these offerings were guided starting in 2012 by director Elliott Driscoll.
