The Resource Group Counseling and Educational Center, Inc., in Towson, MD, provides compassionate care in a welcoming and safe environment. The Resource Group Counseling and Education Center, Inc., comprises two units: The Resource Group, a psychotherapy practice in Towson, MD and Resource Connect, a substance abuse treatment facility in Lutherville, MD. For more than three decades, the Resource Group has built a reputation for innovative and successful mental health and addiction services and programs in Baltimore County and the surrounding areas. Beginning in 2012, under the guidance of our Director, Elliott Driscoll, LCSW-C, MBA, we entered a new phase in our work. With advanced program offerings and an expanded staff and affiliates—psychiatrists, clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, addiction medicine specialists/physicians, and psychiatric nurse practitioners—we continue to improve our work, treating a diverse client base and specializing in a vast array of mental health conditions. In 2013, we opened Resource Connect, a unit of the Resource Group specifically focused on helping those in early substance abuse recovery maintain a lifestyle free of alcohol and illicit drug use. This program, housed in our Lutherville, Maryland, location and licensed by the State of Maryland, has developed over the years to offer five levels of care—ambulatory detox, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and early intervention—all of which are linked to housing, medical, and psychiatric resources.
