The Shockoe Company is a privately held, full service real estate company. The company was formed by the strategic affiliation of Shockoe Properties, Shockoe Commercial Properties, LLC, and Kiniry and Company, Inc.. The Shockoe Company was created in order to capitalize on synergistic opportunities identified by principals from all three firms, to better serve the needs of their regional real estate clientele.

Shockoe Properties, Shockoe Commercial Properties, LLC, and Kiniry and Company Inc. have been instrumental in servicing the regional real estate market. As such, it was only natural to combine efforts in order to offer clients the access to the services of a company with experience in residential and commercial property management, commercial sales and leasing, residential sales and leasing, condominium association management, and real estate development.

The Shockoe Company and its co-founder and Principal, Mark R. Merhige have been involved in the revitalization of Downtown Richmond for over 25 years. With partners Mark R. Merhige and Bill Elliott, and under the direction of Howard G. Baker, Shockoe Commercial Properties, LLC has grown into a full service property management provider, servicing a portfolio comprising of 400+ rental units, 800+ condominium units, and over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space across the state of Virginia, valued in excess of $150,000,000. Both firms have been committed to providing clients with superior management and consulting services for decades, and look forward to offering clients even more in the future.

William J. Kiniry and Partner/son Christian have been involved in the development of over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate in the Central Virginia region. The Kiniry’s also have over 40 years of experience in providing clients with superior real estate brokerage services.
