The Yates Group is a small real estate firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, that focuses on leasing non-residential properties and providing services in office and industrial development, acquisitions, dispositions, consulting, and asset management across the Southeast. The firm is led by Managing Principal Todd Yates, whose career in commercial real estate began in 1983, including seven years with Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CBRE) and a long tenure at The Alter Group as Senior Vice President of National Development and Southeast General Manager. The company was formed in 2012 after Alter exited the Southeast, establishing a standalone practice focused on development and related services in the region. Yates has been directly involved in the development of 53 office, office service and industrial buildings totaling more than 6,000,000 square feet with a value over $800 million. The Yates Group recently acted as the local operating partner for RexxHall Realty, an affiliate of Rugby Realty of New York, overseeing the Atlanta portfolio it acquired from The Alter Group and pursuing further acquisitions on its behalf, while also assisting in asset dispositions in Miami. The firm has also managed the disposition of Alter's land and building assets in the Southeast.
