The Young Americans is a small nonprofit organization in the performing arts, based in Corona, California, and founded in 1962. It works to promote understanding and goodwill worldwide through music, dance, performance, academic education, and cultural interaction among student members and their audiences. The organization operates around three integrated pillars: The Young Americans College of the Performing Arts, Performing Arts Workshops, and Performances. In the past decade, Performing Arts Workshop Tours have become the core activity, reaching tens of thousands of students annually in the United States and beyond. Historically, the group was known for frequent high-profile performances and television appearances with notable artists. In 1992, it shifted its focus from performance-based tours to arts education and outreach, with international outreach expanding in later years. The organization was accredited as a two-year college in 2018. A notable collaboration in 2017 involved the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, supporting a Summer Enrichment Academy Camp and illustrating ongoing partnerships with educational organizations to broaden access to the arts.
