Tippett Studio is a visual effects and animation studio with roots in stop-motion that now blends traditional techniques with contemporary VFX. It operates from studios in Berkeley, California, and Toronto, Ontario, and is part of Phantom Media Group. Founded by Phil Tippett, an Academy Award–winning filmmaker and Emmy recipient, the studio focuses on character creation, animation, and immersive world-building for science fiction, fantasy, and horror projects. Its client base includes film and television producers seeking visual effects and narrative-driven animation for both feature films and episodic content. The company positions itself within the animation and post-production industry as a cross-border studio that blends modern VFX with a legacy of stop-motion. In December 2024, Christina Wise joined Tippett Studio as Vice President of Business Development.
