Tolar Manufacturing was founded by its namesake and company president Gary Tolar, who saw an unmet need for well designed, high quality passenger bus shelters and street furniture for the growing public transit market. In those early years, Tolar counted outdoor advertising projects within Los Angeles and San Diego among its first accomplishments. Both cities have remained valued Tolar clients for the company’s entire 27+ year history.

Today, Tolar Manufacturing is a respected industry leader producing over 35% of the domestic transit street furniture market.
