Tonetti Associates Architect’s history begins with the studio that Joseph Tonetti opened in 1968 in Carnegie Hall and spans the intervening forty years with a collection of unusual, challenging and exciting projects. The firm‘s principals, Joseph Tonetti and Andrew Wright, direct a diverse team of ten architects including designers, LEED accredited professionals, preservation experts, project managers, and architectural historians. The world wide background of our staff brings a creative diversity of experience and a productive depth of specialized knowledge. The concentration of much of our work is the intersection of the existing and new built environment. We have preserved and reconstructed historic buildings and we have designed new buildings within historic fabric. Our projects have been recognized by the New York City Landmark Conservancy and the New York City Art Commission and passed the scrutiny of the State Office of Preservation and New York City Landmarks.
