Run by award winning producers Tonya Lewis Lee and Nikki Silver, ToniK Productions creates, develops and produces entertainment with a purpose for the entire family.
ToniK is currently producing Lois Lowry’s Newbery Award novel, The Giver.  Produced with Academy Award winning actor Jeff Bridges, the film is being financed and distributed by The Weinstein Company and Walden Media.  The film also stars Academy Award actress Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgard, Katie Holmes and Taylor Swift. The Giver will be released in theaters in August 2014.
In 2013, in partnership with Walden Media, Hallmark, Walmart, and Proctor & Gamble ToniK produced Christopher Paul Curtis’ The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963 . This award-winning novel was adapted for the screen by Tonya Lewis Lee for the 50th anniversary of the pivotal events of the Civil Rights Movement.
At present, ToniK is in development on several book adaptations including:  The Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter which revolves around an international spy school for girls, Monster by Walter Dean Myers, which follows 16 year old Steve, an aspiring filmmaker, as he suddenly finds himself on trial for his life, and  Gotham Diaries, the best selling novel from Tonya Lewis Lee and Crystal McCrary Anthony which is a witty, savvy, and intriguing expose of the upper echelons of New York African American society.
Tonya Lewis Lee and Nikki Silver have over 25 years experience producing film and television.  Together they have won 5 Emmy Awards and numerous other accolades.
