TIFF is a film organization based in Toronto, Ontario, focused on presenting the best of international and Canadian cinema to film lovers. It has grown from a ten-day festival to offer programming year-round, including screenings, lectures, discussions, festivals, workshops, industry support and opportunities to meet filmmakers from Canada and around the world. The 2010 opening of TIFF Lightbox expanded its role and helped establish it as a creative, community and global leader in the discovery and understanding of film.

Its mission is to transform the way people see the world through film, supported by a vision of a more engaged, informed, and connected world and guided by values of courage, collaboration, purpose, inclusivity and celebration. Based in Toronto and operating in the Movies, Videos and Sound industry, TIFF serves film lovers and industry professionals through year-round programming and development activities, and in 2026 it continued collaborations with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, including partnerships for the 53rd Student Academy Awards and involvement around the 98th Academy Awards nominations.
