Town and Country Real Estate Inc. was founded in 1961 by Calhoun Mays, Jr. and has since been a cornerstone in the real estate community around Greenwood, SC and the palmetto state. 

Since the beginning, we've had a hand in the development of commercial and residential real estate. Some of Town and Country’s projects include Chinquapin, Bell Meade, and Gatewood—a premium full-amenity residential development with 350 sites. Town and Country also partnered in the development of Wyboo Plantation on Lake Marion and the founding of Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island.

Today, the company is divided into three divisions:
-	Town and Country Real Estate, Inc., which continues in real estate development.
-	Town and Country Property Management, Inc., which consist of a complete management service team that manages over 1,500 residential and commercial rental properties. This division also manages Home Owner Associations, coporate rentals, and also provides maintenance and repair services.
-	Town and Country Construction of SC, Inc., which is a team of licensed and bonded General Contractor. The construction team focuses on commercial and industrial construction (remodeling and new construction), and general utility and site work.

Each division of the company was established to help continue the heritage Town and Country Real Estate, Inc started in the beginning.
