Townsend Leadership Program (TLP) is a professional leadership development program founded by Dr. John Townsend, a business consultant, leadership coach, and psychologist. He has written over 30 books, selling 10 million copies, including the New York Times best-selling Boundaries series, People Fuel and Leading from Your Gut.

Leaders follow a competence and character leadership model, which allows them to develop “task skills” as well as “people skills.” This includes strategic thinking vision alignment, role clarity, and execution, along with emotional intelligence, engagement, motivating others, and listening skills. The program features teams nationwide, which meet monthly to support each other in growth and success, both personally and professionally.

TLP Directors facilitate groups of 6-10 members, which allows for the support for members to reach their “Stretch Goals.” Directors are passionate and committed to their teams ― CEOs, C-Suite leaders, small business owners, managers, and professionals from a diverse group of industries and sectors.
