Traipse is not just another way for people to spend more time fiddling with their smartphones. Traipse is a catalyst for people to connect with a community - its history, its geography, and its commerce - in a fun,

The Traipse App is a smartphone application for both iOS (Apple) and Android devices that leads users on a themed tour of a historic business district, stopping along the way to learn interesting facts and complete riddles, brain-teasers, and other puzzles based on the surroundings. Traipse stops include local businesses, where users who complete the stop's challenge may be rewarded with a discount or free sample. Users will find Traipse to be great for a date night, bar crawl, shopping day, foodie adventure, kid-friendly activity, or history-themed team building exercise. 

Traipse connects potential customers to locally-owned businesses in a much more direct way than other forms of advertising and promotion. When a Traipse stop is located at a business, the app user or group of users has to come inside to solve a riddle or puzzle, designed to expose them to a store's offerings while not interfering with its operations. The availability of Traipse draws new visitors and patrons, and encourages them to support locally-owned businesses.
