Transition Assist acts as a Medicare Coordinator, providing retirees superior service as they convert from an employer’s existing group medical defined-benefit program to a new account-based defined-contribution plan. Transition Assist was established using market research conducted with thousands of retirees who have experienced plan changes since 2007. Remaining sensitive to the ‘voice of the customer’ and creating a retiree-centric service delivery model has has allowed Transition Assist to apply best-in-class practices, with applied process improvements, resulting in a first-class service experience for the retiree. The most important role during this complex conversion process is to remain dedicated helping the end-user through change management. We have created a generous service model that allows considerable time to educate the Retiree about Medicare. Next, we work directly with the Retiree to provide an assessment of how the conversion will impact their specific existing lifestyle and financial position both short-term and long-term. We set Retiree expectations very clearly so that each person understands what will remain the same compared to their existing coverage, and what might be different with their newly elected individual policy.
