The “Transitions Group” is an umbrella company organized in 1997 to hold and manage several separate companies including: Furniture Options, ExecuStay Midwest, and Abode Venue.  The company is headquartered in Wichita, KS with offices in Kansas City, Des Moines, Omaha, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Dallas, Houston, Austin, and St. Louis.  

The business started in 1985 with the founding of Furniture Options, a furniture rental company providing complete furniture packages for people in transition.. The company entered the temporary housing industry in the fall of 1990 with the founding of Suite Options Corporate Housing, and in 2004 Suite Options became the largest ExecuStay franchise providing a variety of custom housing solutions that enhance and preserve client resources and goals, and the only corporate housing provider that offers Marriott Rewards.  Abode Venue opened in Wichita in 2010 and is an award winning facility for weddings, receptions, and business meetings.  In 2014, Suite Options became only the second Oakwood Worldwide franchisee in the nation operating under the name Oakwood Midwest.  Oakwood pioneered the temporary housing industry and remains the world’s largest leading provider of furnished and serviced corporate apartments and residences.
