Trex Aviation Systems provides cost effective and simple to use, advanced technology equipment focused on improving safety and efficiency. Our most recent focus has been on reducing the trash and debris on airports which damage aircraft, engines and tires. This debris is known as foreign object debris or FOD. Foreign Object Debris (FOD) causes over $4 billion USD worth of damage to the aviation industry annually. FOD gained world wide attention after the Concorde crashed during takeoff from Paris CDG. The FAA has approved the FOD Finder detection & retrieval system (FAA AC 150/5220-24) for US Commercial acquisition using AIP and/or PFC funding sources. FOD Finder is the ONLY integrated fixed and mobile FOD detection system in the world and meets the BUY USA program requirements. FOD Finder systems have detected and removed over 16,000 FOD items from US Commercial and DoD airfields since May 2009. AIR Boss is a digital airfield management system which is integrated into the FOD Finder system or can be acquired as a seperate stand alone system. Vehicle mounted Air Boss units are capable of tracking and logging all part 139 air field inspection work orders and sending notifications to whomever the leadership requires allowing for a smoother maintenance tracking and leadership supervision to complete airfield inspection.
