Tri-State Energy (formerly Tri-State Light & Energy) is an engineering firm with over 40 years of experience specializing in energy efficiency consulting and implementation contracting. We serve clients across the Municipal, Commercial, and Industrial sectors throughout the region, offering a range of services that include Direct Install Programs, Engineered Solutions Programs, Energy Savings Improvement Programs, and comprehensive engineering services. Tri-State Energy also partners closely with ESCOs and the MEP community and delivers statewide energy efficiency programs as well as public electric utility incentive offerings. 

Unlike traditional contracting organizations that respond to “plans and specs” developed by others, our business model is centered on first understanding the end-user’s existing energy situation, then developing recommendations to improve efficiencies and, finally, installing those measures. Over the past four decades we have performed thousands of energy audits, energy analyses, and installations in public and private commercial, industrial and institutional facilities.

In New Jersey, Tri-State Energy is DPMC Classified for construction. Our Engineering division includes Professional Engineers (PE) to provide integrated design services for our clients. We hold an NJ Certificate of Authorization and are also DPMC Classified to provide engineering services to NJ state and municipal customers.
