Triangle Land Conservancy is a Durham, North Carolina-based nonprofit in the environmental services sector focused on land conservation in the Triangle region. In roughly three decades, TLC has safeguarded more than 16,700 acres through direct purchase and conservation easements. The organization owns and manages six nature preserves that are accessible to the public year-round. Its conservation work spans six North Carolina counties: Chatham, Durham, Johnston, Lee, Orange, and Wake. Its mission centers on protecting clean water, conserving habitats, and supporting local farms and food systems, while connecting people with nature through land protection and stewardship and by fostering community collaboration. A recent development: in May 2026, Johnston County Heritage Center partnered with TLC to protect lands across the region.
