Trivium Academy of New Jersey, a classical Christian school (K-12) located in South Plainfield, provides families with a unique choice for academic excellence with a Christian worldview. Rooted in the modern classical education movement, Trivium Academy equips students with the tools of learning to become critical thinkers able to reason and debate ideas. With instruction in Latin, Mandarin, Logic and Rhetoric beginning as early as the 3rd grade, students are primed and prepared for the PSAT, SAT, college and beyond. The modern classical education movement is based on the three-part process of training the mind that dates to the Greek and Roman period and was used to educate the founding fathers and great minds of this nation. The Grammar stage is the equivalent of elementary school from K-6, followed by the Logic stage (7-9) where critical thinking and debate is emphasized, finally the Rhetoric stage (10-12) where students learn to reason, articulate and express themselves both orally and literally. Trivium Academy of New Jersey delivers a value-based education that creates a foundation for life-long learning, a strong work ethic and the discipline needed to thrive in today’s world.
