Troy Risk provides services in several areas.  Primarily we conduct vapor, soil and groundwater contaminant assessment and remediation to comply with State and Federal regulations.  We specialize in the use of risk-based approaches  to the closure of environmental incidents, which saves time and is highly cost-effective.

Troy Risk also conducts Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) and Phase II subsurface investigations to support the due-diligence requirements for property sale or acquisition, and to establish CERCLA property-owner defenses.  We use the latest assessment protocols, such as All Appropriate Inquiry and the ASTM 1527-13 Standard.

Troy Risk has a long history of expertise providing services to Subtitle D solid-waste landfills  and Subtitle C hazardous-waste landfills.  Our expertise includes:

    - Preparation and  modification of landfill operating and post-closure permits;
     - Hydrogeological characterization;
     - Sample Analyses Plans (SAP) and Statistical Evaluation Plans (StEP)  groundwater detection and assessment monitoring;
     - Facility inspections and gas surveys;
   -  Groundwater monitoring and reporting;
     - General facility permit compliance work.
