Trudeau Institute is a nonprofit biomedical research organization based in Saranac Lake, New York, focused on immunology and infectious disease research. Its work targets deadly pathogens such as tuberculosis, SARS-CoV-2, Zika, influenza, and Powassan virus. A central element of its approach is the Trudeau Research Network, which expands laboratory capacity and accelerates discovery through regional and global translational partnerships. The Institute also runs education programs, including the Clarkson Trudeau Biomedical Scholars project and the Summer Undergraduate Research Program. Its history traces back to 1884, when Edward Livingston Trudeau established the first American laboratory dedicated to tuberculosis research.
