Truth Aquatics operates a liveaboard dive fleet based in Santa Barbara, California. Since 1974, the company has offered dive boat trips along the Southern and Central California coast, along with kayaking, standup paddle boarding, and island hiking around the Channel Islands National Park and Marine Sanctuary. Its offerings target divers and families seeking marine-focused adventure experiences, combining underwater exploration with coastal recreation and island excursions.

In the Recreational Facilities industry, it positions itself as a specialist in marine-based excursions conducted from a local base. The operation is small to mid-sized, with a focus on guided experiences off the Southern and Central California coastline. In 2020, the National Transportation Safety Board determined that the probable cause of the Conception vessel fire tragedy was the failure of Truth Aquatics to provide effective oversight of the vessel and crew member operations.
