Tucson Foods is a Sonoran Mexican food manufacturing company based in Tucson, Arizona. Founded in 2008 (originally as Tucson Tamale), the company was built on the core principles of authenticity, quality, and integrity, with a mission to honor and reimagine traditional Mexican foods for today’s consumers and foodservice operators. Our flagship product is the tamale, making us unique in the prepared foods category. Inspired by family recipes passed down from co-founder Sherry Martin’s mother, Tucson Foods blends ancient culinary traditions with modern manufacturing standards. We focus on clean, simple ingredients and offer options for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike. We operate two USDA-inspected manufacturing facilities in Tucson, Arizona, with the capacity to produce approximately 7 million tamales and 5 million ready-to-serve meals annually. Every tamale is hand-rolled in the traditional hoja (corn husk) at our own facilities, preserving authenticity while ensuring consistency and quality at scale. After cooking, products are blast-frozen, allowing for excellent shelf life without the use of additives or preservatives. Today, Tucson Foods produces more than 550,000 tamales per month and serves grocery deli, foodservice, and institutional customers. We are committed to delivering culturally authentic, operationally reliable, and high-quality Sonoran Mexican foods that meet the needs of large-scale partners while staying true to our roots
