Twycross Zoo is a not-for-profit wildlife park based in Atherstone, England, with more than six decades of operation. It hosts over 100 animals across about 150 species, including a prominent primate collection and all four great apes—gorilla, orangutan, chimpanzee, and bonobo—one of the defining features of its offering in the UK. Through its Conservation Fund, established in 2006, the organization supports numerous conservation and welfare projects worldwide and engages in research opportunities with students from around the world. Beyond the zoological grounds, the site includes Himalaya, a family-oriented venue with dining, a café, a gift shop, and indoor play facilities, and it also accommodates corporate meetings and events. The zoo maintains international conservation collaborations, notably expanding work in Indonesia through partnerships with foundations in the region. In 2026, the organization announced a land expansion, acquiring 14 hectares to enhance natural habitats on site.
