Established for over 60 years, Twycross Zoo looks after over hundred animals of 150 species – many of whom are endangered. The zoo is home to one of the largest primate collections in Europe and is the only place in the UK (and one of four worldwide) to hold all four types of great ape - Gorilla, Orang utan, Chimpanzee and Bonobo. 

Twycross Zoo’s Conservation Fund was created in 2006 and supports over 55 conservation and welfare projects worldwide. The zoo also funds and conducts research and welcomes students from across the globe.

Separate to the zoo, Himalaya is a great venue for all the family to enjoy. Grab a bite to eat in The View Restaurant or a coffee from Vine Café and don’t forget to take a wonder around the Twycross Zoo Gift Shop. Children can play in the indoor, multi-storey Softplay Jungle.

Himalaya also holds corporate facilities for meetings, conferences and team building sessions.
