UCLA UniCamp serves as the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles, functioning as an independently funded nonprofit that connects the university with the surrounding community. Based in Los Angeles on the UCLA campus, it runs a residential outdoor summer camp. Each year, the program reaches nearly 1,000 children from low-income families with the help of about 350 student volunteers. In the higher education sector, UniCamp operates as a conduit between the university and the community, channeling campus resources toward youth development. Its services focus on providing camp experiences to children from low-income backgrounds, supported by student volunteers who help deliver the program. In 2018, UniCamp partnered with Idor on a collaboration that led to a publication in Frontiers in Molecular Neuroscience.
