UBTech is based in Roosevelt, Utah, and operates as a higher education institution focused on technical training in the Uintah Basin. It is the state's first and oldest technical college. The college offers more than 40 programs across medical, trades, business and industry, and energy services, with an emphasis on hands-on, short-term instruction, most of which can be completed in a year or less.

It aligns its programs with local labor needs and supports job placement for graduates within the Uintah Basin. In March 2024, UBTech established a client relationship with Anodot to use anomaly detection and cost insights to streamline billing, while maintaining partnerships with regional employers and organizations to support education and scholarships.
