Welcome to the UNAD Florida page. UNAD Florida is an online university based out of Weston, Florida that was established in 2001. How We Got Started: UNAD Florida was established by a group of Colombian visionaries who foresaw the need to reach the isolated, unprotected and low-income segments of society by creating an ambitious project to bring a branch of UNAD to Florida. The vision was launched with a firm purpose and determination which resulted in one of the most surprising and successful experiences for those of us in higher education in Colombia: the establishment of a Colombian institution recognized by the United States as a fully fledged university along with pre- and post-graduate programs accredited by the Florida Department of Education.
