With around 180,000 members, Unia is the largest trade union in Switzerland. It negotiates the working conditions and wages of more than one million people in almost all areas of the private sector.

Unia represents the interests of all employees. It negotiates progressive collective labour agreements, strengthens employee rights and advocates a sustainable social security model at a political level. Unia's guiding principles are fairness and social balance. Unia also manages the largest unemployment fund in Switzerland.
