Unia Trade Union is the largest trade union in Switzerland, based in Bern. It represents the interests of employees across the private sector, negotiating working conditions and wages for more than a million people. With a membership of about 180,000, it engages in collective bargaining, strengthens employee rights, and supports a sustainable social security model through its political activity.

As an organization operating in the political realm of labor relations, Unia emphasizes fairness and social balance as guiding principles. It administers Switzerland’s largest unemployment fund. In October 2023, the union published a list of best practices to prevent exploitation of workers and combat human trafficking in the country.
