Unifor National is a Canadian labor union based in Toronto, Ontario. It represents about 320,000 members across multiple sectors, with a mandate to protect workers and working people. The union aims to foster safe workplaces and a strong economy that supports a decent standard of living and greater equality, tracing its origins to the 2013 merger of the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers unions. Unifor engages with communities and the political process in pursuit of economic and social rights, including human rights, safe work, secure employment, and dignity and equity in the workplace. In April 2026, it participated in the General Assembly on Trade Unionism in Quebec, a gathering that brought together more than 500 activists from the province's main unions.
