UPSem offers theological education for individuals dedicated to serving one another, the church, and the world in the spirit of Christ. Through degree and non-degree programs, UPSem prepares people to be leaders of gospel-inspired transformative change in pursuit of a more just and compassionate world.

Areas of study include:

Dual degrees allow graduates to focus on advocacy work, ecological concerns, hospital chaplains, camp and conference directors, campus/youth ministry, Christian educators, or congregational settings.

With campuses conveniently located in Charlotte, NC and Richmond, VA learners can choose in person, hybrid or online coursework to complete their studies.

· The Syngman Rhee Global Mission Center provides educational and research opportunities for international students, faculty, and scholars.

· The Katie Geneva Cannon Center for Womanist Leadership works to inspire and equip Black women to serve as change makers in their community.

· The Center for Excellence in Christian Education strengthens the community through educational events, resources, and curriculum.

· The Center for Social Justice and Reconciliation engages social and political change by bringing justice conversations to the forefront of theological thinking.

· The Leadership Institute offers ongoing workshops, seminars, lectures, and continuing education to lay leaders, ministers, and more.
