UCT is a way of life. We're a fraternal benefit society driven by our members & their dedication to community service. Our charitable efforts across North America are possible through the sales of our insurance products. 

UCT was founded in 1888 by a small group of traveling salesmen who needed to ensure their families' financial security should something happen to them. Each individual contributed money to a shared account that was used to help members in need – creating one of the earliest forms of insurance. 

Today, UCT offers community service opportunities, member benefits and insurance & financial products to people from all walks of life. UCT's non-profit status means that our insurance operations help support our members’ community service efforts and enable us to make a difference in the lives of others. Members decide which causes and charities to support and how to best meet the needs of their communities.
