United Laboratories, Inc. is a mid-sized chemical manufacturer focused on specialty products for industrial cleaning and related applications. Since its founding in 1964, the company has introduced a range of offerings, including citrus-based Solar Solvents and enzyme-based Zyme-Line products. It has developed newer lines described as safer alternatives to traditional acids, such as Earth Smart Acid and SMART SOLVE, which are positioned as reducing hazards for users and the environment while aiming to preserve performance.

It maintains a service-oriented sales operation that serves more than 20,000 customers from its U.S. facilities in St. Charles, Illinois and Sparks, Nevada, and its Canadian facility in Downsview, Ontario. In 1996, the company transitioned to employee ownership through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Day-to-day operations are led by Daniel E. Young, who serves as Chairman and CEO.
