	Founded in November 2005 by @KemalErkan, UM began as a turnkey solution for healthcare providers focused on billing and healthcare information technology. Kemal’s keen discernment of the healthcare landscape and a vision of a patient centric community model led to a partnership with CERNER and a UM Network wide adaptation of electronic health records.
	As a partner organization with CERNER, PowerWorks software is made available to the client and physician partners of United Medical. Cerner EHR operates in real time and is a completely integrated database within the UM  Network. With a focus on quality patient care, the integration of patient health information allows the care team to support the providers in coordinating the best possible patient care in the most efficient manner to reduce costs across our network.
	In 2012, UM emerged as one of the top private ambulatory health care networks in Delaware* and the Mid-Atlantic region. UM   is a multi-specialty network serving a nationwide client base of over 27 specialties and 135 practices -and growing! With a local network currently uniting more than 225 providers and 325,000 patients, United Medical is well on its way to changing the health care landscape in Delaware and surrounding communities.
