USFIA is a trade association representing US-based actors in the fashion supply chain, including textile and apparel brands, retailers, importers, and wholesalers, with activities spanning global markets. It traces its origins to 1989, when it was founded as the United States Association of Importers of Textiles & Apparel, and it has since focused on reducing tariff and non-tariff trade barriers to promote freer trade and broader economic opportunities. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the organization functions as a relatively small voice in the retail apparel and fashion sector, interfacing with policymakers in the United States and internationally. Through publications, educational events, and networking opportunities, USFIA connects members with service providers, suppliers, and other industry groups along the value chain. In 2023, the association announced a technology partnership with Sayari Labs.
