United Through Reading is a nonprofit organization that strengthens military families' literacy, emotional bonds, and well-being by enabling reading together across distance. The program helps children feel connected to their military parents by recording service members reading picture books, which are then gifted to the child. Participants can use a no-cost, secure app to capture stories at local events or at more than 200 locations worldwide.
