Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) is a higher education institution based in Madrid, in the Community of Madrid region, that operates a nationwide network of eleven campuses across Spain, including Santander, Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, Cuenca, Cartagena, La Coruña, Pirineos, Barcelona, La Línea de la Concepción, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Founded in 1932 as the Universidad de Verano de Santander, it adopted its current designation in 1945 and functions as a center focused on culture, research, and specialization, with a mission to disseminate culture and science and to foster international and interregional scholarly exchange. Postgraduate study is offered through 23 official master’s programs, 13 own-title programs, and two doctoral programs across disciplines including arts and humanities, sciences, health sciences, social and legal sciences, and engineering and architecture. Its teaching staff comprises about 1,075 professors and researchers from national and international universities and research centers, and the institution also runs summer courses in June through September, along with English immersion programs and DELE exam accreditation by the Instituto Cervantes.
