Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) is a multidisciplinary higher education institution based in Créteil, Île-de-France, France. It serves a large community of students and staff—approximately 30,000 students and around 2,600 personnel—through a broad array of programs and a substantial research component. Founded more than four decades ago, the university maintains a wide teaching portfolio and a pronounced emphasis on research activity.

UPEC participates in international collaboration through the Aurora universities network, coordinating with partner institutions such as the University of Iceland, Palacký University Olomouc, University of Skövde, and Valparaiso University on projects including the EdUTeam initiative and the Scenario Creation Contest, with the BIP developed within EdUTeam at UPEC. The institution has hosted and participated in Aurora events, including the Aurora Annual Conference 2025 and the first Aurora Sustainability Summit in 2025, and it engaged in the FOREU4ALL Workshop in 2026. These activities illustrate UPEC's involvement in cross-border education, research, and sustainability-focused initiatives within the higher education landscape.
