Based in Tehran, Iran, the University of Tehran is a historic flagship institution in the country’s higher education system, tracing its origins from a traditional religious school to a modern university. It spans 39 faculties and 120 departments, offering nearly a thousand programs across 500 fields, and sustains a broad research ecosystem with more than 40 centers, 3,500 laboratories, and a leading press publishing over 50 peer-reviewed journals.
