As the nation’s first settlement house, it has operated for more than a century as a space for innovative community services. Today, University Settlement extends its work across more than 30 locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Based in New York City, the organization functions as a longstanding community-focused nonprofit with a broad geographic footprint in the area. In 2025, it disclosed a partnership with NYC Quakers to provide wellness support for members of the Quaker community.
