The Università degli Studi di Milano is a large, interdisciplinary higher education institution in Milan, Lombardy, with a strong international orientation that blends tradition with innovation to address evolving societal needs. Founded in 1924, the university plans to expand across two Milan campuses by 2026: a science-focused Campus at MIND (Milano Innovation District) and a humanities Campus at Città Studi. It participates in leading European research networks, being the only Italian founding member of the League of European Research Universities and a participant in the 4EU+ alliance, supported by a substantial research infrastructure including 31 departments and 63 research centers and a university library system.
