Founded in 1979, we partner with designers, purchasing teams, and ownership groups to bring projects from concept through production — balancing creative intent, budget discipline, and manufacturing execution. Our capabilities span wovens, prints, sheers, blackout, outdoor and performance materials, vinyls, leather, and fully custom-developed programs tailored to each project’s aesthetic and technical requirements.

We combine original design direction with mill-direct production relationships, enabling us to:

Upper South Studio works across both design and procurement teams, understanding that successful hospitality projects require aesthetic clarity and operational reliability. Our materials have been installed in projects including Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki, Four Seasons Austin, Grand Hyatt Kuwait, Waldorf Astoria New York, New York Palace Hotel, Villa Feltrinelli, Marriott Marquis Chicago, MGM Luxor, and many others. 

Founded by artist and designer Laurence Rosen and guided by co-founder and principal Susan Rosen, Upper South Studio remains independent, experienced, and globally engaged.
