US Weight is a United States–based manufacturer of weights serving a broad range of applications, including crowd control, mass transit, industrial, agriculture, and fitness, with production conducted in the U.S. It is headquartered in Olney, Illinois, and operates from a modern 110,000-square-foot facility that houses management, manufacturing, shipping, and warehousing. The company was founded in 1996 by Larry Mitchell and Matt Buchannan, and five years later it was acquired by Escalade Sports to expand its sporting goods business. Earlier steps involved acquiring fitness-related assets from RoadMaster Corp., enabling the production of blow-molded polyethylene weight sets that resist rust, do not scuff floors, are easy to handle, and cost less than traditional cast iron weights, which helped secure distribution with major retailers. Today, US Weight offers a portfolio that includes tractor wheel weights, suitcase weights, tiller weights, canopy weights, fitness weights, crowd control stanchions, and visual barriers, among other products, sold to retailers and brands such as Walmart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Zumba, Amazon, John Deere, Husqvarna, MTD, and Kubota. In October 2024, the company announced a strategic partnership with RFE International, adidas' global licensee for home fitness products, intended to bring adidas fitness accessories to a broader audience in the U.S. market.
