USACS is the Computer Science student organization at Rutgers University - rutgersusacs@gmail.com. We know we're succeeding as a community when our spaces are diverse and inclusive, when students grow and learn from our events and programs, and when other communities, departments, and universities know about the awesome stuff coming out of Rutgers CS. To these ends, we... - host quality-assured technical talks on a weekly basis. - provide platforms for career development and project sharing. - manage an undergraduate mentorship program of 300+ students. - promote undergraduate research and faculty involvement in student efforts. - grow our social media presence and visibility for the CS community. - stay in tune with community space management (CAVE) and hackathon coordination (HackRU). - build a framework to connect alumni with the community after they graduate. - coordinate tech company recruitment presence at Rutgers and outreach efforts. - connect students with mentorship opportunities targeting youth in the NJ/NY areas. - invite prominent leaders in technology to speak to the next generation of technologists.
